About Me

I am a professor of English for Florida State College at Jacksonville. I have been teaching face-to-face courses, hybrid courses, and online courses for FSCJ since 2005. I received my BA in English Literature from the University of Louisiana at Monroe (go Warhawks!), my MA in English Literature from the University of North Florida (go Ospreys!), and am currently finishing my dissertation to complete my EdD in Educational Technology from the University of Florida (go Gators!). This site is meant as a resource for students. There are links below under Courses to supplements for each of the courses I teach that include videos, practice activities, and links to other resources. If you have any questions, please contact me.

I teach ENC 0025 Essentials in Writing II which is a developmental writing course that focuses on sentence and paragraph skills, ENC 1101 College Composition which is an introductions to academic writing and research, ENC 1102 Writing about Texts in which we learn how to analyze and write about texts while using research more extensively, and LIT 2000 Introduction to Literature which is a humanities course focusing on literary genres like poetry and fiction and their contexts.
